OUR PAYMENT POLICY:
At the time of booking, we require a 50% deposit.
Sixty days prior to the trip start date, payment in full is due.
Trips booked less than 60 days in advance must pay the full amount at the time of the booking.
OUR CANCELLATION POLICY:
Up to 60 days before the trip start date, you receive a full refund, less $300 per family.
31 - 60 days before trip start date, you receive a 50% refund.
Less than 30 days, no refund is given.
TRIP INSURANCE:
We offer trip insurance through Global Alert Travel Insurance. This protects you in case an emergency causes you to cancel or shorten your trip. With trip insurance, you'll receive a 100% refund. Rates vary depending on ages and trip cost.
While on your vacation, activities cancelled by the vendor due to weather will be rescheduled during your trip. If rescheduling is not possible, we will provide you with a full refund of the cost of that particular activity.

We reserve the right to adjust itineraries and substitute alternate activities or meals if needed due to unforeseen circumstances. This is not likely, nor expected, but may be required on occasion.
Carolina Family Adventures does not guarantee the safety of its guests. Families and groups are on their own to hike trails, paddle waterways, visit waterfalls, and enjoy other outdoor recreational activities. Carolina Family Adventures cannot be held responsible for dangerous weather, dangers inherent in outdoor adventure, or the choices made by any guests participating.

Simplicity for You: At Carolina Family Adventures (CFA), we carefully plan and research each trip, so you don't have to. From the moment you arrive at your peaceful home away from home, you will find daily excursions, meals, and optional activities clearly mapped out for you and all the details arranged. You'll know where to go, how to get there, how long it will take, and what to bring. Exclusive experiences: Catered picnics by rivers and waterfalls, mountaintop dinners with folk musicians, and naturalist-guided private hikes are uniquely ours.
Personal touch: CFA is a small company that designs trips exclusively in the western Carolinas . We want to create a vacation experience that will please every guest, from the most timid first-timer to the hard-core enthusiast. Plus, we always add a few surprises and unique touches to make the trip memorable. Meals for everyone's enjoyment: Every CFA trip includes nearly all your meals, even where there are no restaurants! From a freshly-prepared picnic by a flowing river to dinner at a restaurant known for its excellent local fare, no one will go hungry! Plus, we also provide kid-friendly choices and plenty of snacks each day. Lodging: You'll stay in beautiful, spacious accommodations alongside lakes, in the midst of mountains, or in a forest retreat. Luxury cabins and villas have two bedrooms; inns may vary. Adventures:Daily excursions, such as hiking, tubing, rafting, kayaking, and horseback riding, and occasional evening entertainment are included in your cost. Flexibility: Many activities are self-guided, giving you freedom to choose your own pace and level of activity. Plus, since you are driving your own car, you can stop or go whenever you want. Taxes and gratuities: All taxes and all meal gratuities are included. Valet and guide gratuities are not included. Support: Hit a snag? Just give us a call. We'll be glad to help! What Our Trips Do Not Include: Transportation: You'll find everything so clearly detailed that it will be a breeze to hop in your car and head off on each excursion. A full-time guide: Local guides are provided at times to enhance your experience, but your adventure is largely self-guided. This gives you freedom and flexibility, plus the privacy you want while you travel. Alcoholic beverages: Meals include beverages, but alcohol is an additional cost. Occasional meals: One or two meals per trip are left open for you to sample local cuisine in the restaurant of your choice. Or, you may choose to prepare a meal in the privacy of your cottage.
