What You'll Do:

Sunday: (D) Take a leisurely stroll along a lakeside trail, go for a swim, or play a game of shuffleboard before settling into your spacious villa along the 300 mile shoreline of Lake Keowee. Walk a few steps to join other families for a grand luau by the lake.

Monday: (B, L, D) Paddle your way down the thrilling whitewater of the famous Chattooga river, guided by Wildwater, Ltd. After such an exhilarating day, you will be glad to have a low-key evening with "Make your own pizza and salad" provided in your villa.

Tuesday: (B, L, D) Relax this morning as a guided pontoon boat takes you across spectacular Lake Jocassee. Swim under a waterfall if you'd like, and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch.  Tell tales this evening as you enjoy wonderful food at the Keowee Key Country Club.

Wednesday: (B) Enjoy breakfast on your porch by the lakeside before driving north to Highlands, NC. Follow one of our suggested itineraries for visiting waterfalls and hiking along the way. After checking into your cabin, enjoy dinner on your own at one of the many fine restaurants for which Highlands is so well-known.

Storyteller at Sunset Rocks

Thursday: (B, L, D) Today is "Relaxation Day" or "Choose your own adventure day."  Visit the Highlands shops, go gem-mining, or visit "Little Sliding Rock." Regroup this evening for a walk with a naturalist to a mountain overlook, where you will be greeted by a gourmet dinner and a lovely view. Sit back and be entertained by a folk musician as the sun begins to set.

Friday: (B) Keep an eye out for the graceful and magnificent peregrine falcon as you hike a ridge along the 700 ft. sheer granite wall of a 400 million year old mountain. Enjoy spectacular views and cool morning air.  Then, take time to visit a cafe in Highlands before returning home, refreshed and rejuvenated.
